The Hussler trained by astute Australian trainer John Size broke through for a victory at Sha Tin, Hong Kong on Friday night. By Hussler out of Lovey he was sold by MAKYBE for $100,000 at the Magic Millions and was knocked down to Bloodstock agent, John Foote.
Lovey is one of the old dames of MAKYBE turning 21 this season.
Lovey by At Talaq is remembered as a high class race mare trained by the late great Colin Hayes. She holds the track record at Flemington over 1400m and was group placed in Gr 1 classics including the Coolmore Classic.
Lovey is safely in foal to MAKYBE'S foundation stallion, Purrealist.
