20 November 2008

Arrowfield Stud's Husssonet (USA) looks to have a promising three year-old in South Africa after Lord London made it two wins in as many starts after scoring at Scottsville on Wednesday.

An easy winner on debut at Clairwood on October 15, the Alistair Gordon trained Lord London looked just as impressive this time around surging clear to win the 1400 metre graduation plate by two lengths.

An $80,000 purchase for John Foote Bloodstock from the Makybe draft at the 2007 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, Lord London is from the Rainbow Quest mare Bow Street (GB), who comes from the family of European champions Shirley Heights and Divine Proportions.

A handy producer, Bow Street is the dam of six winners including the smart Sydney metropolitan performer Connoisseur.

Makybe have bred a number of winners during the spring including stakes-winners Musket, My Vegas and Corsaire with Tony Santic's boutique breeding operation set to sell at all the major yearling sales in 2009.

Maybe will present a Commands filly out of Bow Street at the Melbourne Premier Sale and Bow Street is now safely infoal to Makybe foundation stallion Purrealist.
