MAKYBE STOCK CONTINUES TO PRODUCE...

23 September 2008
Victoria's reigning breeder of the year MAKYBE continued on a merry dance on Saturday having bred three of the stakes performers on the card in Sydney.

The trio was led by the 2.5 million dollar colt Musket winning the Group Two Shannon Stakes. He now heads to the Group One Epsom Handicap where he will be very hard to hold out and continue the Group One winning form of the Makybe Diva family. MAKYBE will this year sell Musket's full brother who is sure to command plenty of attention when he graces the sales arena.

Scott Holcombe MAKYBE Stud Manger is delighted with Musket's full brother "He is a lovely loose walker with a tremendous attitude we are looking forward to presenting him at next year's Easter sale."

The next stakes winner on the card was the lightning quick My Vegas, winner of the Starlight Stakes. By Royal Academy out of Smytzer's Century My Vegas hails from the family that has produced the Champion filly Sun Classique. This tough campaigner is sure to continue on his winning way during the spring and will prove hard to hold out in anything he contests. MAKYBE will present a half sister to My Vegas in Melbourne this year by Tale of the Cat, sire of popular MAKYBE'S freshman sire Purrealist.

The last of the trio was the 3yo filly Silent but Deadly running third in the Heritage Stakes. She still holds an entry in the Group One Thousand Guineas and could well be next in the line of Group One winners bred by MAKYBE.
