Promising two year old colt Premier Pegasus the Fusaichi Pegasus half brother to MAKYBE’s exciting young Street Cry stallion Street Hero (pictured) made it two wins in as many starts when saluting in the Jack Goodman Stakes at Oak Tree in California on the weekend.
A winner on debut when scoring at Del Mar on July 24 beating a number of Breeders Cup hopefuls, Premier Pegasus ran up to that good form in taking out the Black Type event over six furlongs by a length and three-quarters.
Bred, owned and trained in the same interests at Street Hero by Myung Kwon Cho, Premier Pegasus led throughout and drew away at the finish in a dominant performance on the all weather track.
“This horse might go next in the Group Two Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf [at Churchill Downs Nov.
6],” Kwon Cho said. “
Premier Pegasus is from stakes-placed Squall Linda and is a half-brother to three other winners including MAKYBE’s Street Hero.
Footnote: Street Hero is also from the family of Dubleanny, the smart sprinting mare trained by Mick Price who does battle in the Gr 2 Salinger Stakes on Derby Day at Flemington.
