MAKYBE has confirmed that PURREALIST will stand his fourth season at $8,800 inc GST. The 2011 service fee remains unchanged from his previous three seasons.
The first crop of yearlings by Purrealist were the talk of the sales this year. The sales results backed this up with his yearlings averaging over $80,000 at the premier sessions of the Gold Coast Magic Million and Inglis Melbourne Premier Sales. He stood out clearly as the number one first season sire when measured on return on investment.
“Apart from his yearlings averaging over 10 times his service fee at the sales the other really good sign is the quality of trainers who will be training them,” said Tony Santic, Principal of MAKYBE.
Gai Waterhouse is just one of the 20 individual Gr 1 winning trainers who has purchased and will train a first crop Purrealist. Of the freshman yearling sires, “Purrealist sired the progeny I was most impressed by at the Magic Millions sales; I purchased a lovely athletic colt out of Fashion Week for $42,500.”
